Sellers comment:
An original Series 2 LHD roadster. The original bodywork has no signs of previous accident damage or repairs, apart from the footwells having been replaced, and is rust free. The panel gaps are excellent and the bonnet fits perfectly. The sable paintwork is excellent but it does have areas of previous reinstatement. The cinnamon interior is the original leather and is generally very good with the exception of the head restraints, but remember it is 34 years old. All the chrome work is first class. It has chrome wire wheels with good Michelin red band radials and it has the rare option of power steering. Although it is a US model, it has been fitted with UK spec triple SU carburettors. It has excellent oil pressure, is mechanically good and drives well. The hood is excellent and it has its original tools and handbook. At present it has a US title and a C&E 'DUTY PAID' certificate, but I could register it in the UK if prefered. This is not a show car, but it is a very presentable drivers example.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
