Current bid $1,525, no reserve, 5 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1970 Jaguar E-Type Roadster
Chassis # 1R13209

This rather dusty example has been kept in dry storage since the early 1980s, and was just brought out into the light of day.

We have taken care to provide our bidders with as many images as possible so you are able to properly evaluate the condition of this car.

Obviously an unfinished project, there is some information that we can enlighten you with.

The engine is NOT original to the car, and the brass data tag is missing.

All remaining tags were photographed and provided, as well as the stamped number on top of the picture frame, and the engine serial number is 7R36886-9.

We hooked up a battery and the engine does crank and it sounds like it has good compression.

The original floors and rockers were repaired, although it was not a professional job. New floor pans come with the car, and there is only a very minor amount of existing rust, primarily near the extreme right rear floor area.

Missing items are not limited to tachometer, rear bumper, tool kit, knock off hammer, battery and all carpeting.

This car sits straight and level, rolls easily and all the panels seem to fit well with good lines and gaps.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
