Advertised for sale on Carsales.com.au 31 May 2020, asking AUD$137,500. Car is located in Ormond, Victoria, Australia.
Seller’s description follows: “1966 Series 1 Jaguar E-Type in excellent condition. It's a matching numbers, original right hand drive E-Type which has lived most of its life in South Africa and was imported into Australia 2 years ago. The history of this E-type is known going back to 1972, with owner details, photos and articles of its early days and a large file of invoices to show over that period. This is a reliable E-Type which has a few features and improvements to make it a perfect weekend trip useable car. The brakes have been upgraded for stronger braking, but the original brakes are with the car. The E-Type has an electric sunroof and power steering installed, combined with the original automatic gearbox this makes the car a joy to drive. The car drives well, the paintwork is excellent, the bodywork is very good and mechanically the car is well sorted; jump in and start enjoying a well sorted and beautiful Series 1 E-Type”.
