Car was offered at auction

Auction description:
Lot 55
1967
Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2-litre 2+2 Coupé
Estimate: £14,000 - £16,000
In March 1966 a further addition to Jaguars E-type range of cars was announced, now, alongside the Open two-seat roadster and the fixed-head coupé, there was a 2+2 coupé. With styling very similar to the fixed-head the new car was a little longer, an extra 9-inches of wheelbase allowing for the extra passenger accommodation.
This two owner example was first registered in January of 1967 and remained with the first owner until 1980, subsequent to its purchase the second owner has had the car fully restored over the past 23 years and has used the car very little. Finished in red, with a recently replaced black hide interior, this E-Type is reported as being in very good to excellent cosmetic condition. Considerable amounts of work were carried out during 1989/9, including the rebuilding of the manual gearbox, brakes, steering, fuel system, carburettors and cooling system and the car has covered less than 100 miles since.
Offered for sale with a V5 document, MOT to June next year and invoices for the above work.

I have recently purchased this etype with a view to restoring her and back on the road,
I am very lucky as I restore etype's on a daily basis.
Will tidy her up again but not going over the top as I wish to use her in all weather's.
