Sellers description:
This 1973 Jaguar Series III XKE V12 E-Type is a well documented "show and go" driver quality restoration you can drive confidently, display it proudly and enjoy the attention a V12 always gets. The classic British Green finish is show & go quality and the trim is outstanding. Despite a few small chips and flaws in the paint this Jag boast a dazzling reflective shine. It is not a Concours presentation and is therefore much easier to own and enjoy. It has great chrome and a beautiful convertible top that is tear and rip free. The matching boot has incomplete attachments at the rear but the top stacks snug and low behind the seats. The leather interior is inviting, the gauges all work and the air blows ice cold as you will see in the presentation. The knock-off wire wheels are stunning and the tires are excellent. Underneath, everything is as it should be and we could find no corrosive concerns. The engine bay is knock-out and the car comes with an Optima Red Top battery. We have service & restoration history dating back to 1977 and amounting over $37,000 in receipts. Almost all major components, engine, transmission etc. all rebuilt and serviced extensively. I am often asked if I would get in any one of cars and drive cross country in them and actually quite a few of them I respond with not a chance. Two reasons, one, they are either too nice and deserve Enclosed Trailer transportation or they would make me too nervous to go more than 300 to 500 miles without back up lined up. This Jaguar, I would drive cross country! It's strong, competent, runs cool and does not seem to have any of the glitches found all too often in the Jaguar lines. The owner built this car to drive it and enjoy it and not set it in the garage waiting for its bi-annual show appearance. This car would only need a driver and a tank of gas to be trip ready! Oh yea, bring your sun block too if you do plan to drive it.
