Ebay item 9/28/13
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Chrome-RARE-1969-Jaguar-E-Type-4-2-Hard-Top-GREAT ...
Current bid $6,766, 23 bids 3 days left in auction. 70k miles.

Sellers description:
1969 E-Type 4.2 Jaguar is a GREAT candidate for restoration. In 1985 it was unfortunately immersed by a flood up to the door handles for 1 day. Thereafter, it remained in indoor storage until 2007 and then stored outdoors under a car cover. It has been outdoors for approximately 10 months now uncovered. The pictures show the water damage sustained by the flood.

This beautiful Jaguar is also ideal for parts. All of the parts are original with the exception of the added antenna. Much of the trim, body parts and details are in fantastic condition despite it's unfortunate circumstance with water.

Please Note: The trim to the inside of the driver's door is included, but not attached. The locking gas cap is locked and we do not possess the key. The left rear tire is flat, but we will gladly fill the tire with air prior to loading in order to assist your chosen transport. We do have a set of ignition keys and the Jaguar has not been started since the flood.

Also included with this auction are 2 Jaguar Workshop Manual's including the Rare, Very Hard to Find Robert Bentley Complete Official Jaguar "E" Manual with a Driver's Handbook and Special Tuning Manual in it's edition.

This car is being offered for sale at NO RESERVE. The Highest Bidder at the end of the auction will own the car. For that reason, PLEASE be serious when bidding. Please have your finances in order and ask all questions before placing your bid. We consider your bid to be a binding agreement. We will not end the listing early. Out of fairness to all bidders, we ask that you please abide by these simple terms. AUCTION ENDS TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2013.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
