Ebay item 1/30/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $12,200 reserve not met 12 bids 6 days left in auction. Complete VIN is J63877307
Sellers description:
1962 JAGUAR XKE ROADSTER A TRUE BARN FIND!!! CAR IS LOCATED IN MISSISSIPPI ORIGNALLY ,FROM CALIFORNIA, .ALSO 4 DOOR 60 WHICH Has THE CORRECT MOTOR FOR THE CAR.
To make it clear we also have a 1960 4door sedan Jag that i am told has a engine that fits the XKE. I am not a Jaguar person. It has no motor or transmission that is correct in the car. i was told that at one time it had a 327 chevrolet in it and still has the 350 transmission in it.
The car looks really straight down each side. A little rust behind the front tires on the lower side.
BOTH CARS ARE ONE MONEY.....
DON'T BID IF YOU DON'T WANT A CAR TO WORK ON

After getting it home and getting it torn down it became quite apparent that this is a remarkably solid car in all the right places. There was one rust through on both floors and a small place on each sill. The rust through was caused by nesting rodents.(read Big OL Ms farm Rats). I do commercial sand blasting, both automotive and marine.Weve done many British cars from HRGs to Big Healys .
One of the previous owners did some drag racing with the car.At one point they actually tore the radius arm mounts off the floors. That meant new floors, sills and the bulkhead behind the seats. This was an early 62 as the bulkhead was flat(no indents for seat travel)Got Chuck at monocoque-metalworks to fab me up one. Fit great looked just like the original.Headed to Etype fab USA I Daphne Ala in the morning for new front frames. Then its build time.Orig color was opalescent silver blue. Thanks DJ
