Car for sale on eBay
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-e-type-series-1-1963-/301678687785
Current bid £21,450 Reserve not met.
Seller states: "1963 series 1 e type, chassis number 860994.Registered in Glasgow on 1st January 1963.The car was taxed and running up to 3 years ago. Refurbished in 1990 with lots of new panels. New back 3/4 wings fitted by old craftsman. Stripped and ready for preparation/painting. There is no rot on the car at all. Bonnet was recently sold as not good enough for top rebuild. I have actually ordered an aluminium one which will be ready October/November, but this is not included in sale. All parts to complete except bonnet, rear screen, wiring loom, wheels, some rubbers and fasteners. Most parts have been polished/chrome plated/painted-either finished coat or epoxy primer. Prior to stripping the car was a good runner. The engine has been stripped, checked, new timing chains/tensioners etc. The original Moss gearbox has been checked over and a new reverse détente fitted. The cylinder head has been full overhauled. The engine is a 3.8 litre from a mk X saloons, it has 8.1 compression (like some export e types). It looks identical to the e type unit and has original triple su carbs. I have shown I picture of some of refurbished parts to show the standard of finish. Car comes with original Glasgow registration GB 247(value 7 - 10k).Payment would be inter bank transfer. The only reason for sale is that I have sold the building where I keep the car."

Reg. GB247

This is the earliest E Type we’ve ever had for sale. A Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe. Finished in Bright Red with a Black Leather interior. This car was the subject of a full bare metal restoration in recent years and went back on the road in 2019. Since then the car has been held in a small private collection and has been used sparingly.
The car drives like a dream. Paintwork and Chrome are excellent. Wheels were new at the rebuild. All interior was refurbished or renewed. It even looks like new underneath!
If you have been looking for an E Type, you will be delighted with this car. A true item of British Motoring at only £69995.
