1972 Jaguar V12 2+2 for sale
Low mileage, high quality driver

The current owner purchased this lovely old E Type from the estate of the original owner in August 2004. At that time, the car had been off the road for many years, and had covered only 33,493 miles from new. The current mileage on the car is 37,840. This E Type has never left the state of Texas since it was first sold by Overseas Motors of Fort Worth in 1972.

Since acquiring the car, the current owner has spent a great deal of money bringing it to its present condition. Classic Jaguar has been regularly servicing and systematically upgrading the car in the CJ workshops since 2007. The mechanical work completed includes suspension, cooling, ignition, braking, steering, transmission, carb and AC repairs. Mechanically, the car is well sorted and runs and drives very well. Everything, including the air conditioning system, works as it should.

In 2008, we gave this rust free car a driver quality repaint in the original Old English White, and more recently we replaced the headliner, carpeting, and installed new Suffolk & Turley seat covers, front and rear. The steering wheel is showing its age and should probably be restored or replaced at some point in the future, although it is perfectly serviceable as is.

This car has received a recent service, including four brand new Dayton wire wheels and Dunlop tires. Within the last few months, we also installed a new Retrosound radio with modern iPod/smartphone interface.

These V12 2+2 cars represent the best value in the E Type market. They are probably the most user friendly of all the various E Type models, and this particular car is ready to use and enjoy immediately.

It is common knowledge that E Types are appreciating fast. This particular car represents excellent value and a rock solid investment at the selling price.

Note: As is almost always the case, "on-line photos" make the car look a little better than it actually is, cosmetically. This car is being represented a a high quality driver and is by no means a show car. Although it is obviously extremely presentable, there are some minor nicks and imperfections that do not show up in the photos.

Price: $55,000 obo

Inspections and test drives are welcome and actively encouraged. Call or email with any questions or to make an appointment to view.

This vehicle is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty of any kind being offered.
