The car has been totally restored. Due to transmission fluid leaking on exhaust caused a minor fire. The heat caused the rug to burn.(see pics) There are no wires behind dash or engine compartment appear burnt. The only damage I can see is inside the car on the right side of the center console. Car does need minor repair. The car is definate must see!!

    Sellers description:
Absolutely gorgeous Jaguar EType Roadster...This is the last year that Jaguar produced this classic roadster...this particular car is in absolutely gorgeous condition...There is no rust or any other type of detraction on the body of the car...the panel fit is true and correct...The car has obviously never been in an accident and even though it has been repainted sometime in its lifetime it is almost impossible to tell.....the body of the car is excellent...paint...glass...grill...rubber seals...panel fit etc are excellent..The chrome wire wheels are original to the car and are as new...The spare wheel has never been on the road as the original Dunlop sticker is still on the tire..and it is original..not replaced....I have the original Jack for the car also

The interior of the car is new.....it was replaced in the last year because the old seats and carpets were stained....everything on the interior of the car is brand new....the car has the original dash however and it is in excellent condition...note on the pictures how little wear there is on the switches and on the steering wheel...The mileage is absolutely genuine..

An aftermarket Sony sound system has been installed with electric antenna....works beautifully.. A new convertible top has recently been fitted..it is the better canvas type and is is as new condition

Mechanically..The car runs and drives like a new one...Very rare for this classic car...normally these cars when you get them will require thousands of dollars just to get to a stage where one can use them....This car is turn key ready to use....will pass any inspection offered....When driving the car there is no bumps or rattles from the suspension or any thing else.........Oil pressure when cold is 80 lbs and the car will sit in traffic and the oil pressure will neer go below 40lbs...Excellent.........Temperature never goes above 1/3 on the gauge.....Excellent

Under the hood the car is very nicely detailed.....there is no sign of any leaks or drips....everything is correct and proper..

Whoever is responsible for this monstrosity should never be allowed near a Jaguar E-Type.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
