Ebay item 10/26/09

Current bid $15,300 reserve not met, 12 bids 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $37,500.
Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar Series II E-type roadster. This is a number's matching Jaguar E-type with only 44k original miles. Mechanically this classic Jaguar is in very good operating condition and the car was yellow when it was sold new in 1969. It is all set for the next owner to enjoy for many years to come.
The seller has owned this XKE for over six years and he purchased the car in North Dakota. Approximately 10 years ago the car was resprayed in yellow and the paint has held up very well and is currently very presentable. The complete interior and top were replaced at the same time and the car currently looks very sharp inside and out. A new trunk kit was installed at the same time as the cosmetic restoration.
The car runs and drives very well. Recent work to prepare the car for sale included fuel system flushing, a new fuel pump and a carburetor rebuild. The car starts immediately without long cranking. Recent ignition work included a new coil and points.
There are a few small imperfections in the otherwise very nice paint job. These imperfections. The emergency brake does not work on this car and the driver's seat back reclines without provocation on occasion. The convertible top boot does not fit completely over the top when down but the top itself folds up and down nicely. Otherwise the car starts, stops, idles and handles very well.
Operating oil pressure is at 30 psi and engine temperature runs mid range on the gauge. The tires and wire wheels are in excellent condition which of course is useful for safe driving but they also look really sharp on this classic Jaguar E-type. There is a spare tire and wire wheel with the car.
This is a car you can jump in and enjoy exactly as is.

Scruffy driver is about to go into restoration. I purchased the car in November 2009 and had it shipped to Oregon. Considerable rust in the front frame, which I will replace. Tub mostly OK, needs a few pieces welded in the tunnel. Rear brakes toast. Otherwise, not too bad. Most metalwork needs replated, which we will perform while front end is apart.

Car is undergoing nut and bolt restoration on an original 44K mile example. Life in North Dakota was hard on the surfaces, although the car was kept up mechanically and drove well when purchased in late 2009.
