Sellers comment:
1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 coupe project. Body is in good shape, has one small rust spot on right bottom rocker, about the size of a golf ball, and one rust spot on the top of the left rocker (see pictures of both). At some point in the past it was converted to a Ford engine and transmssion. Original engine and transmission (4.2 and automatic) come with the car but I don't know the condition of either, the previous owner told me the engine still ran but had electrical problems when they chaged it over to the Ford. Some welding and cutting was done when the engine was changed over (see picture without hood). Hood is not bad, has some bondo on the right side, nothing major. There is a small dent on the back below the rear hatch. Seats have been recovered in a blue fabric, original guages have all been replaced with aftermarket guages except for speedo. All glass is good, car is missing the top windshield chrome trim piece. Wiring has been redone in the past and would need to be replaced. Has under dash a/c unit. Knockoff wheels are all nice and straight, but need a good cleaning. Have the orignal radiator and fans, not in pictures. Everything else that is there is pictured.

Vehicle Condition
Car needs total restoration, could be put back factory with some extra parts, or would make a great hot rod project.

making a hotrod out of an e-type is ruening a work of art

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
