This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II 2+2 is said to have been fitted with a Ford 302ci V8 and C4 three-speed automatic transmission in the mid-1990s before being placed into storage in 1999. It was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024 along with its removed 4.2-liter inline-six and four-speed manual transmission. Finished in light blue, the car features a modified clamshell hood and rides on 15″ wire wheels secured by three-eared knock-offs. Inside, the black leather–trimmed seats are accompanied by a wood-rimmed steering wheel and air conditioning. Further equipment includes a Holley four-barrel carburetor and a dual exhaust system along with a limited-slip differential and four-wheel disc brakes. The car is described as a running project that requires fuel system and brake service before being driven. This Ford-powered XKE 2+2 is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with a clean Texas title.
The 2+2 coupe is finished in light blue and features sealed-beam open headlights, wraparound chrome bumpers, and a driver-side mirror. The louvered clamshell hood was modified to accommodate the Ford engine, and the selling dealer notes rust on the driver-side quarter panel.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by three-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 195/75 Michelin XA4 tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The selling dealer recommends servicing the brakes.
The 2+2 cabin features seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include a Ford-sourced shifter, a locking glovebox, and seatbelts for four occupants. The retrofitted air conditioning system needs to be serviced, tears are visible in the seat upholstery, and wear can be seen on the dashboard and other interior surfaces.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel features drilled spokes and frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and an AutoMeter tachometer. An analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are centrally mounted. The five-digit odometer shows 90k chassis miles, none of which were added by the selling dealer.
The Ford 302ci V8 and C4 three-speed automatic transmission were reportedly installed by John’s Cars of Dallas, Texas, in the mid-1990s. The engine is fitted with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and a dual exhaust system. A video showing the car running using an external fuel source is presented below, and the selling dealer recommends performing fluid changes.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.
The removed 4.2-liter inline-six and four-speed manual transmission will accompany the car.
