This 1970 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster was acquired by the current owner in 2004, and it is finished in Sable over light tan leather. The car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a tan soft top, a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, an AM/FM/cassette radio, and a heater. This XKE roadster is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with the owner’s manual, service manuals, service records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean North Carolina title in the owner’s name.
The car is finished in Sable, and exterior equipment includes a tan soft top, dual side mirrors, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by earless knock-offs and were mounted with 185R15 Coker Classic Red Line tires in 2021. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in light tan leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include lap belts, an Audiovox AM/FM/cassette radio, a locking glovebox, and a heater.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 63k miles, approximately 15k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
