Car listed on EBay:

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll

Description
Item Specifics
Jaguar : XKE
1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II ...Private Owner

Miles: 94971 Doors: 2 doors
Transmission: Manual Interior: Black
Engine: 6 - Cyl. Year: 1969
VIN Number: 1R10578 Exterior: Yellow

Restoration: Vehicle was purchased in 1988 at the Iola car show in Wisconsin. The owner of the car stated that between 92-94 the car was completely restored. The engine and drive train removed and restored, break system rebuilt, wiring harness replaced, body stripped, primed and double spray coated. From the time I purchased the car, to date, the muffler and exhaust system are the only updates to the vehicle.

Frame: The vehicle is rust free on the body and the frame. When it was restored the body was removed from the frame and the frame was painted. To my knowledge the vehicle has never been in a wreck. The floor pans and body panels are original.

Suspension: The suspension has not been worked on and is in good condition. The vehicle handles bumps and the road well. The car starts easy, runs well, and is a joy to drive down the road.

Brakes: The breaks are in good condition. The prior owner had rebuilt the break system while he was restoring the car. To the best of my knowledge the pads, rotors, master cylinder ect. do not need any work.

Body: When the vehicle was restored it was double spray coated. There is no appearance of rust on the body or frame. Can not find any indication of bondo on the auto. The body panels meet together well and the gaps all line up evenly spaced on the hood and trunk.

Paint: Condition of the paint would be rated as an eight. Vehicle was painted in 1994 and it is unknown if the paint is lacquer or base coat clear coat. The color, primrose, (or yellow) is the factory color.

Chrome: Chrome on the vehicle would be rated as a nine. There is no pitting or oxidation. Chrome is in near perfect condition.

Interior: The interior of the vehicle would be considered to be in good condition. There is no cracking, rips or tares in the seats or dash board. Instruments and gages are in good condition and work.

Transmission: The transmission and rear end are original to this auto. As per the previous owner he stated that the drive train was removed and restored. The restoration would be between 1992-1994. It would be approx. 5,000 miles ago.

Engine: Engine is original and the engine numbers are 7R6817-9. The engine was not rebuilt and does not burn oil nor does the car smoke.

Exhaust: Exhaust system is in excellent condition. The entire exhaust system, mufflers, and tail pipes have been replaced in 1988.

Vehicle is being sold because we have developed other hobbies and just do not use the vehicle as we have in the past.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
