Current bid US $25,200, no reserve, 3 bids 6 days left in auction, seller lockportfisherman, 76k miles, complete VIN on the car is J691R10156.

Sellers description:
I purchased Jag in 1976 when it had 52,000 miles. It currently has 76,000 miles. It has always been garaged. About 20 years ago there was a fire in the back of the garage which blistered the paint. Since then I have worked on the car periodically but it still needs a full restoration including the motor. The original color was dark blue. I tried painting the car myself but it deserves professional attention. It is solid with no rust. I am now retired & have lost interest in restoring the car & cannot afford to pay someone else. No collision history. There are a few dents caused while in storage. The windshield is cracked. The steering wheel is also cracked. All parts of the car not installed are in the trunk.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
