Sellers description:
Mostly original 1969 Jaguar E-type Roadster. This date of manufacture of this Jaguar was August 4 of 1969 and the date of dispatch was August 26 of 1969. This E-type was originally dark blue with dark blue interior. We rescued this Jaguar e-type after it was sitting for nearly 20 years. The previous owner had it in the corner of his garage and the car was in good condition, but just needed to be brought back to life and brought up a few notches. There are pictures which display the condition of this car before we revived it.
Some of the recent work we completed on our refresh/restore of this great car and make it a great driver are as follows:
Engine Work: Re Built, Synched and Tune Carburetors, Replaced Cam Cover Gaskets, Rear Seals and adjusted Valves, Replaced Spark Plus, Replaced Drive Belts, Replaced Distributor, Cap, Rotor, points, Plug Wires and Condenser, Replaced Engine Mounts, Install New Bonnet Rest Seal, Replaced heater Hoses and Control Valve, Replaced Bulk Fuel Line and Installed New Fuel Filter, Replaced Fuel Tank Sump Cap, Replaced radiator Foam Insulation, Install New Heat Shield for Brake Reservoirs, Installed New Washer Fluid Bottle Strap, Replaced Upper and Lower Radiator Hoses, Replaced Alternator, Replaced Wire loom, Installed New Battery and positive Terminal, Replace Fuel Pump and Sender.
Oil Service: Changed Oil and Filter. Set Tire Pressure and Lubricated All Fittings
Brake Hydraulics: Replaced Brake Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinders, Fluid reservoir Caps, All Soft Brake Lines Replaced and Bleed System. Front Brake Calipers rebuilt.
Clutch Replaced Master and Slave Cylinders
Steering and Suspension: Packed and Adjusted Front Wheel Bearings, Replaced Left and Right Upper and Lower Ball Joints, Left and Right Tie Rod Ends Replaced, Front and Rear Sway Bar Link Bushings Replaced, Radius Arms Bushings Replaced.

New rear view mirror installed, New Door Mirror installed, New Window Seals installed on doors, New Original Windshield Installed with all new seals. The seats and center console were reconditioned and dyed. The seats, center console, carpeting, and upholstery behind the seats are all original.
Detailing and Powder Coating: All the following were cleaned/ powder coated/ restored as needed: Heater Box, Radiator Fans, Expansion tank, Cam Covers, Air Box Components, Exhaust manifolds. De-greased and Cleaned Engine Bay, Water Pump and Alternator Pulleys Restored, Access Plates restored, Brake Vacuum Reservoir restored, Oil Filter housing restored, Intake Polished, Right Hand Driving Backing Plates Restored.
Exhaust: A new and full Stainless Steel exhaust system was installed with a new hanger kit.
Compression tested: 1-145psi,2-140,3-140,4-140,5-145,6-145.
Body/Paint: The paint was older when we first purchased the car and also there was about a quarter inch of dust on the car. We had some paint work done to the car and also had the car buffed as well. We wanted to maintain the original paint as it showed some patina that went well with the overall car. The paint still has a few cracks and imperfections in areas, but still presents quite well. At one time it was repainted dark blue metallic on the exterior of the car.
This Jaguar E-type Roadster is a great driver level car that looks great and still has some originality/patina to it. This is a matching numbers car and does come with a Heritage Certificate. In addition, comes with receipts of the above work invested in this great car.
