The car was originally registered and used in Sth Africa. It was white and is now regency red. It was body off restored in 2001/2002 in SA. I have maintained it to a good standard since i got it in august 2003.

The car spent some time in Sth Africa where some poor restoration was undertaken. Since my ownership in 2002, it has significant additional work retuning it to its fomer glory. It now runs superbly. The car is undergoing a full respray in Oct 06 and on completion, should be in excellent condition.

Oct 07 - The car's repaint is now complete and looks outstanding. It lives in a insulated garage and is regularly driven. It has just has a new MOT and major service and continues to astound. A recent trip to France proves this car to be the leading GT car in its class. Long fast roads have never been so much fun. And i have to say to all those that question the credibility of the 2+2's and diehard fans of the coupe and softtop, the longer doors of this model which make is significantly easier to get in and out as well as the extra interior space for continental travel is unsurpassed. A truly magnificent car that i continue enjoy enormously.

Car serviced every year. Has had new fuel pump/ feed, coil, condensor, reverse and interior lights reinstated, new front suspension, new wheels and tyres, resprayed and loads of other stuff. shortly to convert to elec ignition. Planning to get it reupholstered in 2010. Trip to France each year and used as often as British weather allows.

Trip to France in 09 distasterous. Repairs carried out in France partially successful. Pleasant trip interrrupted. Chugged back to UK finally, 9 hours later than planned with problems in the distributor. For 2010, i've now had an elec.ignition installed. The elec ign has made a radical difference in performance. France trip will be a good test.
Car now had front seat reupholstered in new leather and looks great. Saving up to get the rest done.

Elec ignition superb. TRip to Normandy 2010 more trouble though... albeit less than in 2009. This time fuel pump. Broke down outside my brothers house which was handy. Towed back in to driveway by his land rover and spent the day locating and solving problem. Returned to UK with no further hitches. Just very disappointed. good wine though. 2011 should be good.

just after i had the Jag serviced and the entire bonnet resprayed and new metal welded into areas where rust was forming/evident and the diff seals replaced, i sold it! I left the car in absolutely beautiful condition for the new owner, who i know to be a massive fan of the cars, like myself. A dream to own. But onto new pastures..

Auction description:
Lot 115A - 1967 Jaguar E Type FHC 2+2
ESTIMATE £35,000- £40,000
Auction True Greats 2019 Auction Date 4th December 2019
Reg. Number UK Registered
Chassis Number1E 50778
The model presented for sale today is a fixed head coupe with a 2+2 configuration. Finished in red with black leather (benefitting from an extensive restoration in between 2006 and 2007), the car is a matching numbers vehicle and comes with supplied heritage certificate. The restoration has been thoroughly documented. Please note that the original number plate was ‘OUL212F’, this was changed to ‘OIL4732’ by a former owner who worked in South Africa, where the car spent approximately 20 years under their ownership.
This E-Type has covered just 72,000 miles since 1967 and this is evident from the condition and the high quality of restoration. The vehicle comes with an ample amount of receipts to the order of over £20,000 in the last 18 years. In addition to this, a recent service has been carried out including new spark plugs. The original toolkit and spare wheel are present as well as an aftermarket electronic ignition system for peace of mind.
