Car completed fully rebuild and had subsequent work performed on the engine following an engine failure due to low oil pressure both bottom end rebuild , and rebuild heads , with work to rectify low oil pressure reading below 20psi. re ground crank , shells ,fitted high pressure oil pump , ancillaries , screw on oil filter upgrade
Following rebuild , running engine in below 2500 rpm , currently 500 miles reading 60 psi oil pressure.

I purchased CDC 543C on the 12th February 2015 to keep my Series 3 OTS (1S 2151) company!
Since purchase I have replaced the front overriders, motif bar, bumper rubbers and front and rear light unit lenses, and resolved issues with the headlights, stop lights and handbrake. The car is now a pleasure to own and is really great fun to drive quick on winding country roads, and having used her throughout the summer she has proved to be very reliable due to the previous owner, David Brown, having E-type UK undertake some excellent upgrades including a 123 electronic distributor, unleaded cylinder head modification, Rob Beere Racing oil pump, upgraded cooling system, Coopercraft front brake calipers, suspension rebuild etc.
Although she is a good looking Series 1 with reasonable panel fit and gaps my ultimate intension is to perform a concours standard restoration on her as soon as I have recovered from the two year restoration of my Series 3 OTS which is now complete and utterly stunning.
Like the Series 3, the FHC does not need a restoration as its is 100% structurally perfect, but cosmetically it is not as perfect as I want her to be.
I am planning to commence the restoration early 2016, and hopefully should complete the task to the same standard as the Series 3 in around 9 months.
