This is one of the latest Jaguar E-Type Roadster Series 1 production cars with the covered headlights, equipped with the 4.2 engine and fully matching numbers.
A noted specialist of the make performed a full nut and bolt restoration 5 years ago. The 4.2 liter engine, gearbox, hydraulic system, cooling circuit, fuel system, suspension, generator, starter, clutch, electrical and braking systems were rebuilt to factory specifications. The body, doors and boot were all stripped to bare metal, then fitted to the body, lead loaded, epoxy sealed and repainted in Jaguar navy blue with base coat/clear coat, then color sanded and buffed. The following parts are new: bonnet from Abbey panels, wire wheels, stainless steel exhaust system, discs and calipers, shocks, wiring system… everything is brand new or refurbished to the highest standards. New rubber seals were installed and all chrome and bright work was restored as needed. The interior is beautifully done in camel.
An extensive documentation of the restoration, invoices and the Jaguar Heritage Certificate are available with the car. The car has only run 3,500 km since its restoration and is in excellent overall condition.
This beautiful roadster is now available and registered in Spain.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
