Opening bid $125,000, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
British racing green metallic and saddle leather.
VIN 1E-15580
This is effectively a new car with 1000 miles since an exhaustive, no expense spared, full body off 3 year professional restoration designed and ready for daily driving, rallying or the racetrack. This car began as a complete rust free, well preserved example of one of the last series 1 E-Types made in July 1967 and consequently has all the Series 1 and some Series 1.5 factory upgrades. It is an all matching numbers E-Type (sans transmission) with its restored original hardtop in body color with black Connolly leather liner. She has been over restored with extensive attention to detail and significant mechanical and cosmetic upgrades and clothed in traditional Jaguar colors yielding one of the finest E-Types in existence - this is no exaggeration. The car is fully sorted, in perfect condition and has been meticulously maintained since completing restoration over a year ago. This is a beautiful, well made, reliable, extremely fast and great handling sports car which comes with spare tire, manuals, tools, cover and 3 sets of original Jaguar XKE keys.

Major performance upgrades during restoration for rally and track use
* All stainless steel hardware used throughout: screws, nuts, bolts, washers, etc.
* Engine blueprinted with high performance parts and installed on heavy-duty engine mounts.
* High performance billet crankshaft.
* High performance pistons and connecting rods.
* High performance camshaft, valves, lifters, etc.
* Weber carburetors with K&N filters.
* Stainless steel exhaust system.
* Aluminum lightweight flywheel and crank vibration damper.
* Stainless steel braided fuel lines and connectors.
* ZF five speed transmission with sintered disk clutch.
* Electronic Ignition system with heavy-duty alternator (for A/C use with no power loss).
* Alloy radiator with cooling fan and alloy coolant catch tanks.
* Harvey Bailey front suspension, Koni adjustable coil over shocks and teflon bushings.
* Ventilated rotors and Wildwood brake calipers with street/race ceramic pads.
* Fire retardant system with cockpit lever.
* Custom 16" Dayton alloy wire wheels with Yokahama AVS P215/60 R16 94V tires plus spare.
* Dynamometer tested to 360 hp and 340 ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheels.

Major cosmetic upgrades during restoration for durability, beauty and luxury
* Complete body color rust prevention coating on underside and in every nook and cranny.
* Porsche 993 based British racing green metallic color with Ferrari Saddle leather interior.
* Front fender crossbar removed with stainless steel mesh grill from Aston Martin DB5.
* Body color matching mohair convertible top ala Bentley with Connolly black leather header.
* Complete modern interior insulation from road noise and engine and transmission heat.
* Chromed convertible top frame with stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers.
* Original dual side racing mirrors.
* Chromed instrument bezels.
* Leather wrapped original Series 2 A/C unit.
* Connolly leather throughout (no vinyl anywhere).
* Aluminum foot pedals
* Wilton wool throughout including custom floor mats with embroidered leaping Jag.
* Custom leather wrapped sun visors and 2-way racing seat belts.
* Series 2 ashtray and lockable glove box.
* Series 2 seats with removable headrests.
* Custom leather convertible top boot with stainless steel snap connectors.
* Kenwood AM/FM/CD/iPod enabled sound system professionally installed with hidden front and rear MB Quartz speakers - iPod plug in center armrest compartment.

There are numerous additional minor mechanical and cosmetic enhancements not mentioned above. The photos really do not do the car justice as her color has a brilliant emerald quality in sunlight and a black metallic quality at night. All the photos provided were taken on May 30, 2007 after restoration was completed except the convertible top photo which was taken on Sep 19, 2008. As the car has not changed at all since these photos were taken, they still accurately depict the car as it exists today.
