-Vin #1E15001. Very early Open Headlight Series One Roadster.
-Lovely, well-preserved matching numbers car in nice colors. Original delivery to New Mexico with only two owners, then the past 10 years with it’s third owner in the San Francisco Bay area. YOM period CA black/yellow license plates.
-Provided documents show the original owner to be a Mr. Dwight Prien of Cedar Crest, NM. Mr. Prien owned the Jaguar for over 46 and then sold it to it’s second owner, a Mr. Kinlock Brown of Taos, NM on 6/19/2003. There are maintenance and repair receipts from Mr.Brown’s ownership showing a differential lube/service at 41,000 miles in 2003 along with plenty of miscellaneous parts receipts from XK’s Unlimited. The car was then sold to it’s current vendor Daniel Staton in the Bay Area. Mr. Staton was a “car guy” so it was during his ownership of the past 10 years that the Jaguar was really sorted mechanically to it’s wonderful current condition that it enjoys today.
-Details include over $12,000 spent including a new clutch assembly, rebuilding the braking system, flywheel ring gear and starter replacement, rubber bushes and mounts, carb rebuild, heater pipes renewed, ignition tune up, exhaust system, upgraded cooling fan, etc. This car drives exceptionally well with no issues. -Older cosmetic restoration still holding up very well. Very good primrose yellow single respray. Wonderful 100% rustfree bodywork with all original sheetmetal. Very good to excellent chromework. Lucas PL tripod headlights. Original Triplex tinted windshield and door glass.
-Retrimmed interior with most likely a “Bartlett” interior kit from the 90’s featuring all correct materials.
-Original radio, steering wheel, seat belts.
