Sellers description:
1965 Jaguar XKE Roadster.
This car was purchased in 1973 with 21,000 miles and has all matching numbers.
Stored for many years and now completely gone through, this car is ready to go!
Having personally driven this car, all I can say is “WOW!” Not only is this car a pleasure to drive, it is extremely fast. Having extensive knowledge and experience with performance automobiles I can say this car handles just as well, if not better than any modern sports car. In short, the car is mechanically sound, runs and drives excellent!
Here is everything about this car so there aren't any surprises or disappointments.
Just had $8,000 in parts put into it.
1. Replaced both front bumper etes with new rubber.
2. Replaced both head lamp seals and cleaned lenses.
3. New turn signals front and back with new rubber seals.
4. New grill mount.
5. New hood seal at fire wall.
6. Weather striping for doors and windows are new and included in auction but haven't been installed. New rear view mirror.
7. Center console recovered with new leather as close to factory as possible.
8. Seats and seat frames were disassembled reconditioned and recovered with original leather.
9. Steering column was rebuilt and new turn signal cam.
10. Choke cable was relocated from the dash down near steering column looks factory but not correct. Radiator has been recored and has a new cap.
11. New cooling fan motor.
12. New belts.
13. New cap, rotor, points condenser plugs wires and air filter.
14. Both oil sending units were replaced.
15. All front end parts are new.
16. Ball joints were re shimmed.
17. Flushed coolant, brakes, clutch, rear differential and transmission.
18. All coolant hoses and clamps are new and were replaced with original equipment.
19. New throttle bushing at firewall.
20. New valve cover gaskets.
21. New floats in all three carbs.
22. New battery new battery hold down.
23. New positive battery cable.
24. New motor mounts.
25. New stone guard on left front.
26. Wood floor in trunk has been repainted.
27. New stainless exhaust front to back.

31. Fuel take was reconditioned and fuel lines were flushed.
This is the car of your dreams!
Here is the less desirable feature of this car: it is a “ten footer” as far as the paint is concerned.
The car was repainted in 1975 with some sort of lacker so the paint is cracked and the car will need to be repainted. It's not perfect but could be with a little T.L.C. Also there is a hard top for the car not shown in the pictures.
