Car offered at:
www.thecarnut.com/Jag74White.html

Sellers description:
VIN: UE1S25477
Odometer: 23,730 original miles

This is a survivor e-type roadster that has stayed mainly untouched for 37 years ! The car was sold new in Atlanta, Georgia and it has never left
the state of Georgia. It was purchased by the prior second owner in 1977 and stayed with the family for 34 years. The paint is original and so is the
interior and soft top. The car has air conditioner, auto transmission and the rare removable hardtop. Body is in great shape without accidents or rust.
Paint is old and faded but I would definitely try to save it as a car can only be original once and finding an e-type with original paint is extremely
difficult. Chrome is in very good condition, including the wire wheels.

Mechanically the car runs great. The transmission was rebuilt and tires were replaced and in very good condition. I recently replaced the cooling
hoses and clamps, the radiator, thermostats, rear brake calipers and rotors. The spare tire is still the original Dunlop and the spare wire wheel has
the factory applied grease on the chrome. The exhaust has been replaced with an ANSA. The exhaust sounds and looks good but is not original.
This car has things one rarely see and only reads about in Jaguar restoration books. For example, it still has the original rubber grommets on the
bonnet latches which were painted over at the factory. One seldom sees this level of original details. This is the type of car judges will come to look
when they want to verify if something on a restored car was done as original.

This is one of those cars that I want to make sure ends up with the right person, I once had a very original Maserati Bora that unfortunately was
sold to the wrong person and he not only repainted the car but also changed the color. If you are looking to buy a car to restore to "like new"
condition, please do NOT buy this car. Although this would be an excellent candidate for a comprehensive restoration, it would be a crime to
destroy its originality. This Jaguar needs to go to someone that appreciates originality and wants to keep it as a time capsule. I would understand if
the exterior gets repainted but I would stop there. You will get a crowd looking at the car simply because you seldom see an untouched e-type
anymore; plus it is a joy to drive.

Price: $37,500

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
