Hammer price $47.3k

Auction description:
The E-Type offered here is a one owner car since new. It has been properly maintained throughout the years being kept in heated storage during the winter months. The car was restored in 1996/1997 with the body stripped to bare metal then repainted in the original and rare dark navy blue. In 2005 the car received a thorough mechanical inspection and service that included the installation of a stainless steel exhaust system, a new radiator and significant work performed to the front suspension. Most recently the Jaguar was fitted with a correct leather interior. Now in excellent mechanical condition, this late XKE roadster is ready for the roads and will continue to satisfy as only a V12 E-Type can.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
