Ebay item 4/9/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XKE-SR-III-V12-Rstr-32-000-Orig-Miles-Exc-Cond-RESERVE-B ...
Current bid $28,100 reserve not met, 2 bids 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description: 1974 XKE SR III V12 Roadster (OTS)
This Beautiful Jaguar is finished in Old English White over a Navy Blue interior which is a stunning color combination. It's always been driven sparingly, thus the car only has 32,000 original miles from new. Its remarkable condition throughout, as seen in the photos, attests to the quality of its care from new. The condition of the original leather seats, the dash and control instruments, and the trunk compartment which is all original including paint and the original foam pads and exposed adhesive residue from the factory, are all evidence of its originality and low miles. It even has the original factory Dunlop spare tire in the trunk which has little signs of use, and the trunk plywood boards and upholstery are in superb condition. The car exterior was repainted a few years ago and has held up very well; of course it hasn't been driven much which attributes to the condition of the paint. The finish still has a great shine. The body panels, and their fit, are also in great condition. The chrome is all original chrome, including the chrome wire wheels. Although the chrome shows some signs of age; as seen by the photos it has held up very well over the cars life of almost 40 years and is in excellent condition. The transmission has been upgraded to a four speed for enhanced performance and handling, and shifts very well. The car also has an upgraded AM/FM and cassette tape radio. And as seen in the photos, the floor boards are solid and very clean. The convertible top is the original top and in good condition, especially for its age, although there are a few minor tears in it which have been repaired. The tires are in great condition and have many more miles of life on them. The car does have a factory Air Conditioner; although it is out of freon.
The car recently underwent a tune-up including front suspension work, carburetor adjustments, and brake work including a new brake booster. This work was done last month by "Special Inteest Auto" here in Minnesota; 85% of there work is on classic Jaguars; mostly XKE's so they definitely are experts on these cars. The car is ready to take to your regional British Car Show and/or out for an exciting and enjoyable country drive day one.
Included with the car are a couple Tools, a Jack, an original Owners Handbook, a Boot Cover, and Documentation outlining previous work done on the car.
NADA Average Retail Value is $54,350 USD. As seen by the photos, the condition of this car is closer to the NADA "High Retail Value" $88,500.

As advertised for sale on eBay uk in November 2012
This is one of the last E Type's built and the V12 Series III Roadster is undoubtedly the one to have being a magnificent Iconic British sports tourer. This car is the highly desirable manual car rather than the horrible Automatic version and its in lovely original condition.
THE PAINT AND CHROME IS REALLY NICE I HAVE HAD NEW STAINLESS STEEL BUMPERS FITTED PROFESSIONALLY BY TREVOR FARRINGTON CLASSIC CARS IN CHESHIRE ALONG WITH A BRAND NEW TOP OF THE RANGE BLUE MOHAIR HOOD.
She is in Old English White with Blue Leather upholstery and Blue carpets. The car has been professionally repainted in the recent past , in the original colour. The wire wheels are excellent. The interior is nice and original with all the switches etc working properly. There is a small crack in the plastic at the bottom of the dash below the switches. She has the original lap sharp seat belts .These are easily upgraded.
She is UK registered and we have a good history file going back to 1974 and certificate of title etc for the car and believe that we are the third owners.Like us ,the previous owners in Minnesota always garaged the car with a dehumidifier and the car recently underwent an engine tune, front suspension and brake overhaul with a new Brake Booster.
The only item that needs attending to sooner rather than later is the handbrake which does not hold the car very well on an incline but it's never bothered us.Our local garage quoted a days labour to deal with this (£250)
The chassis number is : UE1S24883
The engine number is : 7S15463-B
The car has the original Jack, boot cover and the original owners handbook and had the original whitewall tyres on when we bought it.We have just replaced these with new period Dunlop tyres (not white walled).
We have recently driven in her from a fabulous return trip to the Le Mans Classic in France with no issues and she is great to drive.
She has electronic ignition and a new electric fan (there are two) and a manual override switch so you can switch the fans on and off when you want as well as them coming on automatically with the thermostat. She has had a "Snap on" chemical compression test and the block and head showed no pressure leaks and everything as it should be.
