    Private Party Or Dealer: Dealer

This 1974 Jaguar XKE is a Series III roadster finished in silver over black, and power is provided by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes knock-off wire wheels, air conditioning, and a Becker radio. The car was acquired by the selling dealer out of California in mid-2020, and service under prior ownership included an engine rebuild, clutch replacement, and refreshing the interior. This Series III roadster is now offered in Arizona with a removable hardtop, a service manual, records dating back to 1996, and a clean California title.

The body is finished in silver and features a folding black convertible top. Additional equipment includes a cross-slatted grille, a center-exit exhaust system, and V12 badging. Paintwork was performed by Sport & Speciality of Durand, Illinois in the late 1990s, as noted on paperwork pictured in the gallery below.

Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels with earless knock-off spinners are wrapped in radial tires measuring 205/70. A black removable hardtop is included in the sale, as is a full-size spare tire and aind jack.

The interior features black upholstery with matching door panels and carpeting as well as a replacement center console and a re-covered dashboard. A Becker Europa II radio has been added, and the car is equipped with factory air conditioning. Accompanying records indicate that the interior was refurbished in 2014 by Symbolic Motor Car Company of San Diego, California.

Smiths instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, as well as gauges for measuring voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles, with true mileage unknown.

The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Records document a rebuild of the engine in the late 1990s, installation of a high-torque starter in 2015, and replacement of the clutch and the exhaust system in 2016. Engine-block stamping 7S16032LA matches the chassis plate.
