Ebay item 7/25/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $20k reserve not met, 1 bid, 5 days left in auction. Buy it now price $49k. 38k miles.
Sellers description:
I purchased this low mileage roadster about 10 years ago from the original owner in Toronto who was an elderly doctor. I am very heart broken about selling this rare automobile but due to financial difficulties wife has told me to sell.
BODY - Original, all panels are in alignment with no evidence of previous collision. I have 35 mill. photo's of when the paint was stripped, unfortunately I can not put them in this ad but will provide to serious parties. I have replaced door and trunk seals. I have the original grill which is in good condition but not shown in photo.
PAINT - The paint was original but somone had keyed the side, so I had it stripped to bare metal and brought back up to the original BRG. The paint remains in excellent condition. There are a couple of very small chips along the edge where they put the hood back on after painting, these can be easily touched up with a brush. Around the inside of the doors still have to be painted.
INTERIOR - The interior remains basically original and in good condition, the seats were rebuilt in England using Conlley leather at a cost of $4,000.00. They remain in show condition. The convertible top is brand new and never put up. I forget what they call this type of material but it looks like black velvet and costs $400.00 from Robins plus I had it professionally installed. Rear view mirror has chip in glass. Side mirrors and remaining glass all in excellent condition. A/c is complete but needs recharging.
ENGINE - Original V12, runs good. I have the covers and air breathers that are not shown in the photo. I have placed 160 degree thermostats in engine and it runs nice and cool and does not overheat as most do. Original 4 speed trans and re-end are all in excellent condition.
WHEELS/TIRES - Original chrome rims, in good condition, very small pitting in centre but hardly noticable. Tires are the original Dunlop, still lots of tread but shake a bit on the highway due to age.
CHROME - Original and in good condition, not of show quality but very presentable.
BRAKES/EXHAUST - Brakes are original and in good condition. The exhaust is also original and in good condition. I have the rear resinators and tail pipes but I removed them for a more sporty look, they are included with the sale.
We are located in Hamilton, Ontario Canada about 50 miles north of Niagara Falls.

Car returns to ebay 5/5/08

Current bid $22,322 reserve not met, 2 bids, 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $39,000.
Sellers description:
I purchased this vehicle 10 years ago from the original owner who was a elderly doctor in Toronto, the car has only 39,000 orig miles with optional air conditioning and four speed transmission, when I purchased it had original paint but had been scratched with a key down the side so I had it professionally stripped to bare metal and brought back up with hand rubbed primers and painted the original racing green. ( I have photo's of it stripped to metal) The inside of trunk lid and hood was not painted and remains original paint, the inside of the door jams were also not painted and have some over spray on them, this only shows when door is open. The seats are brand new from Jaguar England with Conley leather and cost me $3,000.00. The convertible top is a brand new Jaguar cloth top similar to the velvet ones used on Mercedes. Engine and transmission is original and runs great with no overheating problems. The four tires are still the original Dunlop factory ones with 80% tread left but are starting to bump a bit on the highway due to storage over the years, [should have four new tires]. The tail pipes were removed so underbody could be painted, I have them in storage they just need to be put back on. The big rubber bumperettes are missing, I had the intentions of putting earlier chrome model ones on but never got around to it. Most seals and rubbers have been replaced after car was stripped to bare metal. Vehicle has been stored in a heated garage and never winter driven. Air conditioning is complete but has not worked since last year, it may just need recharging? Rear view mirror is starting to craze and requires replacement. The right valve cover is leaking a bit of oil and requires a new gasket. Comes with car cover and service manuals. This is a great car with 95% of restoration completed, just needs some very minor TLC to make it concourse condition.
