Sellers description:
Chequered Flag International is pleased to offer this 1974 E Type Roadster in Red with Black leather interior and Black top. Odo 39,123. Automatic, A/C, chrome wire wheels, extensive restoration. Excellent rust free body with virtually flawless paint. Superb mechanically - drives like they should. Excellent interior, soft leather etc.
The story: - we purchased seven E Types from a larger collection of cars that belonged to a big Southern California home builder. The E Types have been restored to a very high level - I can only estimate the restoration costs but I believe a reasonable estimate would be between $70,000 to $90,000 per car. There are no records or receipts - these cars were part of a large settlement - multiples millions I am told. These are very special cars and appear to have had pretty much everything rebuilt/replaced: paint, chrome, interior, top, engine rebuilt, brakes, steering, wire wheels, etc etc.
