Seen on eBay, 4/2003. Ad reads:

"UP FOR AUCTION IS A VERY NICE 1974 JAGUAR XKE ROADSTER WITH A 12 CYLINDER ENGINE AND A/C THAT BLOWS COLD. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN STORED IN A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT FOR THE PAST 11 YEARS AND HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED WITH LOW MILES. THE PAINT IS BURGUNDY EXTERIOR IN VERY NICE CONDITION WITH NO RUST, THE INTERIOR IS BISCUIT LEATHER WITH NO RIPS OR TEARS. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WAS DONE 11 YEARS AGO AND IS LIKE NEW AND HAS NEVER BEEN EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS."

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
