Sellers description:
1973 jaguar e type v12. This car starts right up, shifts nice, the brakes work , the lights work as do all or most of the gauges. this car is a low mileage car that the last owner rescued from setting and did a lot of hard work on, but then ran out of energy to do the last step which is cosmetics as in paint, body and some interior work. the car has had the entire rear suspension out and gone thru and painted, the motor compartment is beautiful and has many new hoses, parts, etc . the car sounds great and the exhaust is correct and servicable but not new. the tires are new, the wire wheels are great, the glass and chrome are good. The car has new cooling fans, header tank and radiator work.the car is totally original and unmolested and still has the original british leyland radio. The seats can be restored with only a few pieces of leather replacement needed, the headliner and sun visors need replaced. this car is only a paint job and some minor body work for dents away from being as nice as any car on here. this car has never been color changed or even completely repainted so it will be easy to restore the body. The only rust thru is a small area on the left front fender and under the bonnet nose and does not show. all the interior panels are excellent original except for the spare tire and gas tank covers are there but need recovered. i have new bumper rubbers, new transmission mount, new exhaust o rings, new battery, etc. the car has an aftermarket fuel pump and that should be replaced with an original because the aftermarket pumps have too much fuel pressure for the jag carbs . maybe you could put on a fuel pressure regulator? this car is from california and before that ohio but the undercarriage is super clean. the car has factory air conditioning and wire wheels and can be driven around town as is or restored to your satisfaction. I would not recomend a long drive home before you get a few more items checked out
