This 1973 Jaguar E-Type is a Series III roadster that was built on March 1, 1973, and reportedly remained with the previous owner for the past 46 years before it was recently acquired by the selling dealer. The car is finished in British Racing Green over beige leather and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. Equipment includes a black soft top, 15″ wire wheels, air conditioning, Smiths gauges, and an Alpine CD stereo. Service in October 2021 included cleaning the fuel tank, adjusting the carburetors, and changing the fluids. This E-Type roadster is now offered by the selling dealer with partial service records, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, tools, a service handbook, and a clean Missouri title.
The body was reportedly refinished in the factory British Racing Green approximately 10 years ago. Additional service at that time reportedly included re-plating the bumpers and replacing the rubber seals. Equipment includes a black soft top, a retractable antenna, and dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome 15” wire wheels feature lobed knockoffs and are wrapped in 205/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring tires. Braking is from four-wheel discs with inboard rear rotors.
The cabin is upholstered in beige leather with matching door panels and carpeting. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, an Alpine CD stereo, and three-point seatbelts for front occupants. The vinyl is peeling on the dashboard, and a crack is noted in the center console.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 features single overhead camshafts for each cylinder bank along with quad Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Service in October 2021 included cleaning the fuel tank, changing the fluids, and adjusting the carburetors.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
Service invoices reportedly totaling over $50,000 and dating back to 1985 are included in the sale.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate displays the factory colors, identification numbers, and a March 1, 1973 date of manufacture.
