This car was purchased with about 50,000 miles on the speedometer. I've upgraded various components of the car since I purchased it (New & custom suspension system, New
interior, new convertible top, new gas tank, painted in ~1990, and more). This work was all done by "Imports Unlimited Inc". of Highland Park, IL.(This company specializes in the care of imported cars and more importantly restoration of Jags and other vintage classics) The car has generally been garage kept and continually maintained since the day I purchased it. Since moving to Florida I've had the car maintained by Checkered Flag of Avon Park, FL. (another company that specializes in maintaining vintage Jags). It is unusual to find a Classic Jaguar E-type with such a short list of owners and with such low, original mileage that has been nicely maintained and gently used. Schedule an appointment to see the car or have it professionally inspected by a third party.

Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to showcase this beautiful open two seat convertible 1973 Jaguar XKE. This example displays a refinish in its correct Pale Primrose Yellow paint against black interior with a black canvas top. The paint and body are in very good condition as is the undercarriage. The mechanicals are strong, this is a car that can be driven with ease. The 60,722 miles on the odometer is believed original to the car, the mechanical and cosmetic condition is certainly reflective of this. We do not have mileage logs.

Under the bonnet resides the original numbers matching 326 cubic inch 5.3 V12 engine, a visceral feast for a driving enthusiast. The engine block number stamping is legible (7S9857L) & matching the original drivetrain identification plate, all photographed below. The transmission was recently removed and a new clutch assembly installed along with an updated aluminum flywheel by Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' experienced crew.

The dash is in very good condition and the air conditioning system blows cold. These cars could be ordered with this GM-style A/C compressor and an underdash unit for relative ease in maintenance.

The undercarriage displays original flooring throughout along with the 4-wheel-independent suspension. The Series III cars sported rack & pinion power steering as well. The mount areas are solid as are the rockers and door undersides. No severe damage or corrosion was noted. The underbody does have a mild to moderate protective undercoat.
