Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar Series III XKE 2+2 Coupe. The car was purchased by the current owner October 1990 with 27500 miles on it. The car has spent most of the time since in storage. The current mileage is 31221 and to the best of my knowledge is accurate. The car is in running condition. The carburetors have just recently been removed and overhauled. However the car would need to be checked over thouroughly to be a driver. The driver seat back will not stay in the upright position and the red leather could use redying or replacement. The car at sometime in its life had been repainted and is in fair condition with some checking in a couple of places on the hood/bonnet. With exception of the hood I think the rest of the paint would polish up decent. The chrome on the wheels looks nice and the tires have good tread but are old.

The engine runs smooth and sounds great. The Transmission shifts smooth. The brakes feel good and stops straight.

The electrical system would have to checked over as with any old Jaguar that had been in storage for so many years.

All in all this car in the little bit I have driven it seems very solid and with a little work could be made into a nice driver quality car or would be a great restoration project.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
