    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $6,600 reserve not met, 8 bids 8 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar Automatic XKE E Type 12 Cylinder 2+2. Car was purchased in 1981 drove for a year needed some work so it been in our garage for the past 30 years. Like everything else we wanted someday to restore it, which never happened so we have decided to sell it to someone who can restore it to its original beauty, this is a perfect fixer upper.
On the door there is a sticker that states the odometer was rolled back to 0. It was at either 34,500 or 36,500 miles and the miles on the title when bought states 43,817and the miles on odometer now have 3,901. To be perfectly honest we can not remember why the difference. We have checked with the local license agency and they said at the time of purchase that can be change to exempt.
As for condition the engine needs restore the chrome on front trim needs re-chromed or cleaned, it has steel wheels but needs new tires. The back seat and passenger seat are in good condition, the driver seat has some wear. The dash has a crack in the leather on the passenger side, clip missing or rear window, it has no radio looks like it was cut out.

On the body it has rust spots, on the hood, around the well of the lights, front of hood and around front fender . There is a scuff along the bottom of the passenger side door but no major dents. However, around the right rear fender there is a two inch slit which will need some body work.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
