I purchased this car in 2003. It now resides in Louisville, KY and is a great car. I believe I am the third owner. I recently had the automatic transmission gone through, new exhaust and carb overhaul. It drives like a dream!

Ebay item 6/19/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-Coupe-Low-Mileage-original-V-12-E-Type ...
Current bid $5,050 reserve not met, 14 bids, 4 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Original condition XKE coupe with the 12 cyclinder engine. The car has been maintained over its lifetime and is always a hit at the car shows. In the past three years, Dorothy received four rebuilt carbs and a completely rebuilt transmission along with new exhaust from the headers back. She has also won many awards at shows from Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
In the years prior to that, a brand new radiator was installed along with new water pump and starter, and all new hoses and belts around 2003. At the same time, new brakes were installed. Since 2003, over $10,000 has been spent on getting this car back up to prime driving condition.
This car remained with the original owner from 1972 until 2001 when it was sold I believe through an estate sale to a gentleman in Kansas. I purchased the car there in 2003, so it is a 3 owner vehicle.
While never restored, the car has received a top quality respray in original color I believe around the year 2000. The front seats and the headliner have been reupholstered. The carpet and rear hatch and seats are all original.
This car is safe to be driven across country without issue. The air works great, the original radio works as it should. Tires and brakes are in great condition with the front tires showing a little wear on the inside, possibly alignment issues (I have not had the car aligned since I have had it)
Here are the things I know the car could use to be perfect. I personally prefer a good driver.
Carpet in front is worn, rear seats have no tears or other issues, but the leather shows it age (not a bad thing), passenger door only opens from the inside (faulty lock), outside mirror switch in driver's door is missing the handle, speedometer cable needs replacing (works, but waves at you with a 15-20 mph range) All other gauges work perfectly including the clock.
The only rust on this vehicle is a quarter size place in the spare tire compartment and a nickel size place behind the licensce plate braket.
If you are looking for a fun driver that you can quickly clean up for a car show, this is for you. This would also be a quick and easy car to take back to orignial show room condition with very little work, mainly engine bay cleaning, carpet and seat covers would do it.
Give Dorothy a good home. I really need a C-Type replica in my garage.

In addition to other equipment upgrades, the alternator has also been replaced. To clarify on the radiator, it has not been rebuilt, it is a brand new radiator and this car never overheats.
