Ebay item 5/17/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $10,000 (Reserve not met), no bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
For sale is our 1972 E-Type 2+2. V12, Automatic, PS, PB, AC (it works). The color is the original Old English White, with the original red interior.
Our car has 61,500 miles, in very good original (unrestored) condition. We have owned this car for five years, and the following work has been done over the past several years:
> Engine Top End at 53,000 (hardened valve seats, etc)
> Transmission rebuilt last fall (2004)
> Dayton wires and BF Goodrich P225-60 tires
> Driveshaft U-Joints
> Rechromed bumpers
In addition, several other updates have been done (fuel tank renew, carbs rebuilt, front shocks, speedo cable, fan relay, door rubber, etc), as well as an Alpine stereo and Moss steering wheel. We have receipts for all work that has been done.
The car is solid, and runs great. The engine does not burn oil, does not overheat, has good oil pressure, and always starts promptly.
The paint is in good condition. The interior is mostly original, and is also in good condition. The seats could use recovering one of these days, but have no rips or tears. The carpeting has been replaced. The floorpans on both the drivers and passengers side have had some rust repairs, but are now solid. The factory jack and knock off hub wrench are included.
The car is located in Minneapolis, MN.
This is a beautiful classic British sports car that runs as smooth as it looks, and attracts attention wherever it goes!
