Ebay item 2/24/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-V12-1972-Jaguar-E-type-V12-Roadster-RA ...
Car has a buy it now price of $69,000 for 6 days.
Sellers description:
Jaguar E-type V12 Roadster. This great car is in excellent (rust free) original condition. This car has not been taken apart to be restored. The original ownership for this car last 30 years and the second owner has had the car since. This car was ordered, purchased and delivered to Mr. Sparrow on October 4th, 1972. It is has original paperwork including invoice, window sticker, shipping and export/ import paperwork. Also this great car has the original owner’s/ operating manual, original Blaupunkt radio manual, maintenance records, and original registration. This great original example has only 69,653 original miles since new. The original options on this car were as follows: chrome wire wheels, S/D un-shaded glass A/R, Radio Kit, detachable HARDTOP and AIR CONDITIONING (which does work). It is the original colors of Regency Red with Beige interior. The hard top is original to this car. In addition, has the original jack, knock off adaptor and hammer. It even has the original spare tire and chrome wire wheel! As far as its current condition is concerned, it is in excellent maintained original condition for being an almost 40 year old car or time piece. The paint does show some signs of wear, chips and patina, as expected because this car was driven, but carefully driven. Nevertheless, the paint is in really good shape for a car of this age. The engine runs great and this car is mechanically sound, as it has also been carefully maintained overtime. Furthermore, the underside is in great original condition as can be seen in the pictures. The floors are perfect originals. We did not detail the underside to make it look new, but to keep it original which is a great testament to how well this car was cared for over its life. There are a lot of restored cars out there and a lot of beaten up cars as well (especially V12s). This is a very desirable year with out the big rubber bumpers. This is truly a special example that cannot be replicated. They are only original once and there are classic cars or very few e-types (much less V12s) that are kept in this original condition.

Auction description:
AUCTION DATE: Friday, Feb 18, 2011
LOT NUMBER: 4
CHASSIS NO: 1S20579
Only Two Owners from New, An Original Example
Aluminum alloy V12 single overhead camshaft per bank, compression ratio 9:1, four Zenith carburetors, 5,343 cc, 314 bhp @ 3600 rpm, four-wheel disc, servo assisted, four-speed manual synchro, independent front and rear suspension, Salisbury Power-Loc differential; wheelbase: 105"
We are pleased to offer this wonderful original, two-owner from new, Jaguar that still wears its original factory paint of Regency Red, its beige interior, and sports its original drive train. The car is equipped with a factory installed four-speed manual gear box and air conditioning. Still adorned with its Chrome wire wheels, it also comes furnished with the original and hard to find detachable hardtop. The current owner purchased the car eight years ago from the original owner and has driven it a careful 3,000 miles. With less than 68,800 miles from new this car still runs and drives flawlessly as all maintenance has been performed as needed.
This particular car was ordered for U.S. Specifications by the original owner in May of 1971 and was completed for delivery in July of 1972. Every single correspondence between Jaguar Cars Limited Coventry and the original owner's manual is included with the sale along with all books, service receipts, bill of sale, shipping correspondence, and original title. It is very hard to find such an extensive file let alone a two-owner V12 XKE Roadster. This is truly a very seldom seen opportunity that should not be missed.
