I am the second actual owner of the car. The original owner purchased the automobile new from
Jaguar-MG of New York in 1971 & it appears passed it on to one of his daughters. She held it from 8/31/01 until 10/29/01 selling it to a dealer named
Peter van de Goor from whom I purchased the automobile in March of 2002.

The car was in good overall condition with 123,247 miles. It has had one poorly done respray in it's original color, black. The original engine is currently being replaced
with a totally rebuilt 80's XJ6 engine by Victor's Service Center in San Antonio, TX. The replacement with the XJ6 engine is due to the vast improvements made in the engine design,
particularlly in cooling. The original engine will be retained & probably rebuilt. The Stromberg cars original to the car had been replaced with the 3 SU setup prior to my acquisition.
Following the engine replacement, needed body work to return to originallity & correct normal wear & tear will be done.

    Sellers description:
This is a very nice 1971 XKE FHC Jaguar. This is the last year for the 6 cylinder Etype and having the 2R serial #, these models very limited in production. This is a very nice example and is a rust free example. The car has had only two onwers since new and is a very original example and is very rare to see today. The car does have a tri carb set up which makes for a very nice driving car and is a much more dependable car. This car does have factory A/C and it does work. The car runs and drives very nice. The interior is all original and is very nice with no rips or tears. The headliner is nice and is not sagging. The gauges all work. The car runs nice and cool even in the 100 degree temps which we are having. The transmission shifts great and down shifts very smooth. The paint is not bad and looks good. The chrome is very nice and has no pitting. The wire wheels are very nice and have a great set of Michelin 185HR/15s which are in very good condition. The glass is all triplex and is in great shape. The car still has the original radio and it does work. The speedometer nshows 30987 and we think its the correct miles after looking at the car, but we cannot guarantee it. All in all, this is a great driving car and should be a great and dependable car for its new owner.

    attention.
the current seller is known for fraudulent business and misrepresentation of cars for sale.
if you google jaguar central you might wish to take your money somewhere else.
check current sellers miles, and se how 100.000 miles has gone compared to previous sellers.
    dont deal with these people.
