Offered without Reserve and from the Grand Tourers Collection, a smart example and showing less than 70,000 miles.
The Grand Tourers Collection was curated by a now deceased gentleman, who amassed some 38 cars at one stage. Each car stands on its own merits, and represents an era of stylish roadsters and hand-built coupés. Offered at No Reserve, the cars are worthy of serious attention.
The car we have before us today is accompanied by a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate that states it was built on the 1st October 1970 and factory finished in British Racing Green with beige leather and a black Everflex vinyl roof. With its five-speed manual gearbox it was destined for the United States and distributed there British Leyland, New York.
Repatriated on the 1st June 2017 joining the 38 car Collection of the previous owner, as stated by the accompanying V5C. Offered to auction at Without Reserve with a fresh MOT and pleasingly finished in the same colour combination as it left the factory. The perfect car for continental touring with arguably the best engine and gearbox fitted into any E-Type.
Sold for: £36,000
