Current bid $5,000 reserve not met 1 bid 9 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar XKE Series 2 Roadster. Yellow with a black interior. 96,554 miles. Older restoration from the 1980's. Car runs out very well, feels great on the road. Very nice interior with recent top. Car presents itself very well with nice shinny paint that has several flaws thru out the body. Chrome is very nice with good wire wheels. Motor has no number on it so probably a replacement block. Car is a great driving example that shows well and feels great on the road.
Car is located in northwestern Connecticut about 75 miles north of New York City.

    Auction description:

    Classic Cars, Salzburg, Austria

    21 October, 2023

    Lot No. 21 V

1971 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 Open Two Seater

The Jaguar brought in was delivered in 1971 and was registered in the Netherlands in 2017 - after which it was integrated into a large Italian collection, which is now partially being liquidated. Now one of the most exciting sports cars in automotive history is waiting for a new owner.

The Jaguar is drivable, but service work may be required due to the long period of storage in this collection.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
