This 1971 Jaguar XKE is a Series II roadster that was produced in May 1970 and originally distributed in the US by British Leyland of New York. The car is finished in British Racing Green over tan leather upholstery and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. A mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment was carried out under prior ownership that reportedly included repainting the body, overhauling the engine and transmission, and refreshing the interior. Equipment includes a black soft top, a black top boot, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, power steering, air conditioning, and an Alpine CD stereo. This Series II XKE roadster was acquired by the selling dealer in June 2021 and is now offered in North Carolina with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, service records, manufacturer’s literature, a removed radio, removed parts, and a clean South Carolina title.

Finished from the factory in British Racing Green, the car was repainted under previous ownership. Features include a black soft top, a louvered hood, a driver-side mirror, triple windshield wipers, chrome bumpers with overriders, and polished exhaust tips.

Chrome 15” wire wheels feature two-eared knockoffs and are mounted with 205/70 Pirelli P4 tires, and a matching spare is stored in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.

The cabin was refreshed under prior ownership and features tan leather bucket seats along with matching door panels and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, an Alpine CD Stereo, a center console, and a locking glove box.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, and center-mounted gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. The engine and gearbox are said to have been refurbished during prior ownership.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows the original configuration and colors, along with serial numbers for the chassis, engine, body, and gearbox. A removed radio, removed parts, and service records are included in the sale.
