This car is currently for sale and should be up on eBay within the week.

In the past 7 months we have:
Installed new floors on both sides
    Brand new interior
Serviced the carburetors after many incompetent mechanics tried themselves
Engine serviced and timing chains replaced
5 brand new tires with less than 50 miles on them
    AC charged and serviced
    New fuel lines
    Rebuilt carb linkages
Lots of oil and fuel leaks hunted down
    ..and lots of little things

This car is very solid, starts great every time and idles smoothly. Its rock solid on the highway even at speeds that it shouldn’t be driven. In its current state this car is only a paint job away from being absolutely gorgeous. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 214-802-2088, or e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks

    Car returns to ebay 12/17/07
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-S-II-2-2-1970-Jaguar-XKE-4-2-liter-2-2-Ser ...
Current bid $5,600 reserve not met 4 bids, 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1970 jaguar XKE 2+2 4.2 liter, 6 cylinder, automatic, with A/C, wire wheels, new battery, 5 new tires, both front floor panels replaced in 2005. Total interior by World Upholstery Co. installed professionally in December 2005. This will make an excellent start for someone looking for a project car that will not need a whole lot of work to have a nice auto. No major dents or dings in body. Starts well, runs very well, except for the normal sounds a 35 year old car would make. Engine has had work done on the upper and lower timing chains as well as other work on the linkage (work done in September of 2005) Carbs were professionally re-built in fall of 2007. Small 4” long crack in windshield on passenger side at bottom of windshield. Clock and oil pressure gauges not working. This car can be driven every day if desired. I drive it on the weekends around White Rock Lake in Dallas and running errands. State of Texas inspected and State tagged. I can verify over $4000.00 spent on engine work since owned. Upholstery and installation totaled over $6500.00. Other work and parts total $2,000.00.

    Car now offered at:

    www.carjager.com/acheter/voiture-collection/jaguar-type-e-serie-ii-22-42l-CJVCL2 ...

    Seller's description:

    FRANCE - Poitiers (86)

    Estimate: €35,000 - €45,000

    6-cylinder in-line engine - 4235 cm3 - 265 hp - 24 hp

    3-speed automatic transmission

White exterior - Beige leather interior

    First MEC: 01/01/1970

    Mileage: 66,000 km

History: Delivered new in the United States, this Type E was imported from Los Angeles a little over a year ago by the current owner. This is second hand.

General: The car that we are offering you today is in a good state of conservation.

Exterior: Slightly patinated, the bodywork reveals the history of the car while maintaining good condition. The white color perfectly conveys the lines and character of this Jaguar. The chrome-spoke rims look great and have little to envy of their original condition.

Interior: The cabin offers a beautiful presentation. Only the dashboard could use some care. The leathers covering the entire interior are well stretched, the seats have retained all their support. The signature steering wheel adds to the stunning look of this set.

Mechanical: The 6-cylinder starts well and revs well. Less than a year ago, the engine and gearbox were drained, the filters were changed as were the spark plugs and the lighter head. The owner reports that the automatic transmission works perfectly.

    Recent work:

    Igniter head

    Oil filter

    Fuel filter

    4 new tires

    Door handle

    Seals

    Steering column lever

    6 candles

    Gear oil

    Battery

    Documents: French registration certificate
