Sellers comment:
a 1969 Jaguar XKE Type II 2+2. This auto was purchased in Hawaii and shipped to Arizona by the family friend we purchased it from. This is an all original, matching numbers, accident free, rust free, well maintained classic. There's no Bondo on this car, there's never been body damage of any kind. The car has only 117,000 original miles, and the engine was given a complete overhaul 17k ago. The engine is a 4.2 Litre straight 6, with dual Stromberg Side Draft Carbuerators. The car has a BORG-WARNER automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING! This Jaguar has the original WIRE SPOKE WHEELS! THE ENGINE WAS GIVEN AN OVERHAUL 17,000 MILES AGO. About 9 years ago, the car had a bare body, bare metal, paint job. The whindshield gasket and window rubber were replaced at this time. The bumpers were rechromed. The shocks were replaced, a brake job was performed, the steering reshimmed and the wheels aligned less than 20k miles ago. The tires have approximately half their service life left. The car runs and handles as it was designed to do, it's a sweet machine.

The car was professionally appraised on April 10, 1996. The car has been garaged since then, driven only once a year on an in-state road trip. The appraiser wrote, "Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes and very rare air conditioning. Jaguar E-types are considered to be one of the most beautiful and collectable of the European "exotic" sports cars. This is a desireable car with many nice options." He rated Sheet Metal Frame & Underbody, Exterior Chrome, Options& Accessories, and Model and Equipment Authenticity at 2+. Exterior Paint, Interior, Weather Stripping, Felt, Etc., Glass & Headliner, Engine, Transmission, Differential, Cooling System, Electrical System, Brakes, Exhaust, and Tires and Suspension were rated at 2. The CONDITION CODE represented by these numbers is as follows 1 = Perfect, 2 = Excellent, 3 = Very Good, 4 = Fair, 5 = Poor. The car was valued by the appraiser at $25,000. This appraisal will be included with the car.

Hello,
Anyone has seen an USA e-type red 2+2 automatic 1R42821 without windscreen and a pair of bullet holes on it? Have information about it?

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
