Current bid $18,500.00 (Reserve not met), 1 bid, 9 days left in auction. This auction is based in Sound Beach, New York, USA.

Sellers description:
Here is an Excellent All Original 1970 Jaguar XKE Series 2 Roadster low mileage 3 Owner Car that has been Always Garaged, Doctor Owned & maintained since 1995 finished in that ultimate combination of British Racing Green with Brand new Tan Connolly Hides.

Documented original low mileage . The 4.2 is the most reliable motor available in the Jags & mated to a 4 speed tranny makes for an AWESOME driving experience !!!

Probably the most famous of all Jaguars the XKE's sinewy curves are really accented by the Green over Tan combo finished off with Red-Lines on Jaguar wire wheels. This car gets stares wherever it drives ! Don't miss out on a great opportunity to own a Low mileage Original True Classic Jaguar XKE Roadster !

A complete interior restoration was done by Jags Plus on long Island ( A premier Jaguar specialist) with the Original Correct Jaguar Connally Hides. The cost was Appx $6000 ! Finished in 2003 the car has been driven less than 100 miles since the interior resto.

Mechanically the Car runs Strong, Motor & Mechanicals are fine. Frame is straight & Rust Free . All interior components work except for the clock. Lots of Service receipts & documents to be included for example a new Slave Cylinder. Exhaust & brakes were also dome within the last year.

Chrome is excellent , Shiny & Bright all around.
The Car wears the same paint as when the current owner purchased it in 1995 so it exhibits some minor chips in the front & there is some spidering by the drivers door. Basically minor imperfections you would expect after 10 years of driving. Having said that is still retains nice gloss & displays well. I would rate the paint as of a nice driver quality.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
