Car returns to auction 3/12
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php
Auction description:
Lot 360 - 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II 4.2 Litre Roadster
Estimate: £45,000 - £55,000
Registration Number: WOT 466H
Chassis Number: 1R0929
The first thing you notice about this 1970, 4.2 litre example is the stunning willow green paint work that was only available on Jaguars between 1967 and 1972. A rare colour that works well on the svelte E-Type lines and with a contrasting tan hide interior and matching green hood, this car is described as being in very good condition.
Purchased by the current owner some 14 years ago it has been cherished ever since, regularly maintained and used on light, regular runs in the Kent countryside. Supplied with a V5 document, MoT certificate valid until October 2012 and road fund licence until April 2012, this fine roadster is a joy to drive.
With E-Type prices reaching new highs almost on a monthly basis, the Series II roadster represents excellent value for money and improved performance over its earlier Series I sibling; a combination that will surely push desirability and prices onwards and upwards.
