I personally viewed this car a year or so ago in Stuart, Florida and it was being represented as a 1969 Series 2, 2+2, for sale at $21K. Last year, it was impounded by Martin County police as, so I found out, it was stolen many years ago from NYC. The XKE was actually BRG and I cannot verify numbers matching or original interior color. The interior needed attention and when I last saw it carbs were not on the car and it was a non runner. The rear hatch was open to the elements and it looked like water damage in interior in places. The car was seen today, in Stuart, Florida, under the awning in the photo's with someone working in/on the engine area. Car is not in NYC but maybe the seller's location on ebay is. Who knows - RED FLAG - Definately not the finest example anywhere!!!

Strange: This Chassis-Number was last year at my workshop. The chassis number stamping looks correct, head and engine numbers match, but the chassisplate is homemade and only 889 908 is stamped. The car looks like a cheap resto and there are no traces of red, and parts of the paint of the chassis tubing looks original and untouched.

Hi Georg, it is a very suspicious car since it was questioned in Florida, said to be in New York and now in the EU.
