This Jaguar has been in my family since 1979. Was rarely driven and been stored off and on between other projects. The car has had the engine, gear box gone threw and refreshed.
I have decided to refresh the car further and may do a proper new paint job, re-chrome some bits that are aged with minor pits, freshen up interior and replace worn bits. Will update brakes, distributor, wider wire wheels, and add better cooling fans to make it better to drive more frequently and on long trips. Has never had any rust, no accidents and as far as I know been kept in good condition. For the last 30 year the car has only been drive occasionally and probably has not seen more than 5000 miles since we bought it.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
