    Ebay item 2/22/16
    www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-/121898707379
Current bid US $12,100 reserve not met 3 bids 6 days left in auction. Seller danvette65, 96k miles.

    Sellers description:
Extremely solid Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe project. I am the third owner, have a clear title in my name including the ownership chain from new. I purchased this project as a partially completed but abandoned restoration. The body number, cylinder head and block are numbers matching. The gearbox number does not match but is an early non-syncro box and there is no number on the picture frame. There's a good chance it was replaced at one time and to re-stamp it would not be ethical in my opinion.

The sub-frames are in great shape and there is no evidence of any damage to the firewall/cowl area. The monocoque on this car is really nice. It looks as if this is where all of the money was spent at one time making the car right. I can tell it had floors, possibly rockers and passenger side lower door skin done.

Remaining work to be done on the body before paint is final panel fitment, minor body work and sanding. Please take a look at the photos to see how straight and rust free this body is including the bonnet which is currently loosely mounted and there are no alignment shims installed. It is one of the nicest Series 1 E-Type projects you will find.

All mechanicals will need to be rebuilt/restored including engine, transmission, front/rear suspension, wiring and interior. I have no other parts except those pictured and listed.

There's a number of directions you can go with this project. A lot of the parts missing would need to be purchased new anyway if doing an original restoration which is one option. Another option would be to recreate a lightweight style race car. If this is intriguing to you I also have a freshly machined, high performance 4.2 engine with triple Weber carbs ready for assembly by one of the nation's leading Jaguar restoration experts/vintage racers. This engine is NOT INCLUDED in the auction and can be negotiated after the sale.

    Parts List (INCLUDED IN AUCTION)

Early E-type non-synchro gearbox (correct style for car but not numbers matching)

    Oil filter housing

    Car now offered at:

    www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/jaguar/e-type/2652010.html

Classic Showcase, Inc, Oceanside, California, car previously in San Marcos, California

    Seller's description:

This numbers-matching 1963 Jaguar E-Type Coupe is a very stylish and eye-catching example that has been upgraded with numerous performance and comfort upgrades. The tastefully modified Coupe features a highly attractive color combination of Dark Blue over a Red interior and has been comprehensively restored to a high-end Driver level by Jaguar professionals. The car has been driven sparingly since it’s restoration with only 1000 miles traveled for setup and sorting out, and is now ready to be driven, shown, and enjoyed! This XKE would also make a great candidate to be taken to a higher Show/Driver level with minimal effort - please inquire about a condition-level upgrade.

As an earlier Series 1, it features many desirable items such as an alloy center console, glass covered headlights, and toggle switches on the dash. The XKE also features a host of performance-minded upgrades, providing a powerful package that is ready to tackle any driving scenario:

      • upgraded 5-speed transmission

      • Polished Headers

      • Stainless Steel Exaust

      • Alloy radiator with auxiliary fan, header and catch tank

      • Gear reduction starter

      • High output alternator

      • Electronic Ignition

      • Wilwood brakes with a 4.2 power booster

      • Dynamat sound deadening installed throughout the car to reduce heat and provide a quieter ride

In addition, the XKE has also been the recipient of many aesthetic and comfort upgrades including:

      • Air conditioning with a Rotary compressor

      • 4.2 leather seats for additional comfort

      • Moto Lita steering wheel

      • Shoulder & Lap Belts

      • Digital AM-FM Stereo System with 4 speakers and Bluetooth connectivity

      • Electric Antenna

      • Dual Mounted Helmet Mirrors on the bonnet

The E-Type also includes a battery tender and a collection of books.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
