Ebay item 4/26/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1963-Jaguar-XKE-fresh-from-30-years-of-ins ...
Current bid $3,383 reserve not met, 6 bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This XKE has been in HEATED indoor storage since 1980. Pushed in a corner in the same garage as a show car, this is one project that just never was gotten around to, and is now for sale. This car was bought by the present (second?) owner in 1967! It is a MATCHING NUMBERS car, no one has fiddled with it in years and it is virtually rust free. This car has not been run in 30 years, so needs a complete restoration. The good news is , no one has messed with it.
Mileage is original. Original owners Connecticut title is in hand!
Engine number R9361-9

Tiny rust through under corner of driver’s seat. Small amount of rust on drivers door, see pictures. The rest is amazingly rust free. After all the years, we put a breaker bar on the engine and it spins freely. We did NOT try to start this car. The car was put away with the engine running very well but needing a clutch.
The hood had trim removed and seams filled in in the 60's. Also a custom headlight treatment at the same time. Other than that, the car is bone stock. The hood has a bunch of dents, visible in photos. They happened mostly in storage when something fell. Rest of the car is very straight. Glass is good. Underneath looks really great. Call and talk to us - we will tell you anything and everything. This is a private sale, I am listing this for my aunt as my uncle passed away last year and it was his car.
This car has been in the family and ownership documented since 1967, and we have a Connecticut title issued in 1964, so clear title is assured. We have owners booklets and incredibly clean maintenance chart.
